My little girl is growing up!

So its time for the big girl room. I can't believe my little baby is turning three! Time goes by so fast! Anyways here are some of my ideas for the room right now (They may change) you'll have to tell me what you think of them. Oh by the way I used http://www.polyvore.com/ to come up with the decor board. I highly recommend polyvore just one problem its highly addictive! Anyways back to ideas for my little girls room, as you can see the colors I've choosed to go with are pink, green and white. I'm thinking of painting the walls pink to make the white furniture pop out. I'm also playing with the idea of painting a desk that I found at a thrift store green. I also really like the lighting idea and I'm currently looking for old lamp shades to rewire and paint. The fabric that I'm going with has the same colors Green Pink and White. So there you have it you'll have to tell me what you think, by all means if you have any ideas please share! thanks everyone

WOW!

Wow!! I just have to share this with all of you! Did you know that you can have a custom wedding dress for well under $1,000 and made in Italy no less. I remember back in the day (and I mean back in the day!) when I was shopping with my mom for my wedding dress, I found that it was really hard to find one that not alone fit me, but didn't look all puffy and weird. Anyways I came across this dress on Etsy, lets just say its Lovely with a capital L!

Pumpkin Earrings

Wow, is what came to my mind when I came across these Pumpkin earrings on Etsy last night. They are beautifully hand made by ShySiren. I personally love her style, and the wire wrapping is gorgeous defiantly something I would wear. (Just a little hint to love ones) anyways back to the Pumpkin Earrings the pumpkin its self is a handmade bead by a Polymer clay artist Tiana Rutledge. I have personally tried to make Polymer Clay Beads in the past and well let’s just say that I learned that it’s best to leave it to the experts. Don’t get me wrong it was really fun to try but for some reason my hand made beads just didn’t turn out as nice as Tiana’s.

Spooky little Pendant

It’s that time of year again are you ready! Now, I’m not one to wear the Halloween sweaters or the candy corn socks, however I could defiantly see myself wearing this cute or should I say “spooky” necklace made by JesseJanes. This cute pumpkin pendant was created from an old Scrabble Tile and one of a kind graphic image. Each Pendant is packaged in its own small gift bag perfect for giving away to your little goblin. I just love how professional all their pendants look.

Nap Time Has Returned!

The best part about school starting up again is that nap time has finally returned to our home! This whole summer my two and a half year old had refused to take any naps, I just thought that she had grown out of it. But luckily with the home finally quite she is able to fall sleep, nap time has finally returned along with a little of mom’s sanity! Which brings me to my search for an item to feature; I came across this cute little owl, made by Dreaminggiggles. It’s a perfect way to let everyone know that it’s time to be quite, it can easily be hung from the nursery door or in my case the front door to let the UPS man know to quietly knock, (It seems like every time he shows up its right in the middle of nap time) It almost like he knows! lol.

ahhh First day Outfits

So the first day of school is behind us, I can’t believe my little girl is now in school. I have to admit, I was a little nervous for her to ride the school bus for the first time. In fact I almost got in the car and followed her to school but I resist the urge. LoL Needless to say she got there just fine, although it was the coming home part that bothered me the most. Just worrying about whether or not she would get off the bus at the right stop and not too early. Luckily the first day went off without a hitch. Anyways… back to my item of the day, so everyone I have talked to about Katie starting school has reminisced with me, about their first day. It seems that everyone remembers the exact outfit they wore on their first day of school. In fact I to remember my first outfit which was a purple shirt with matching purple and pink flowered pants, ahh the good old 80’s. (needless to say I don’t wear much purple now lol) anyways… So I found this adorable dress at LilMissMuffin shop. My little girl loves dresses, she would wear them all the time if I would let her. LilMissMuffin has some really cute ones in her shop, not to mention her pricing is perfect! I highly recommend stopping by and taking a look! I know I will definitely be putting it on my list for Easter Dresses in the Spring!

These are just Crazy Cute! I know that my subject this month was all about items for back to school, but honestly my first thought when I saw these cuties was, “this is perfect for all my work receipts that clutter my work bench!” Then again they would also work for homework papers/notes from teachers sent home or even for a teacher’s desk. Proudgrits11 makes these little decorative file folders over in her Etsy shop. She has taken standard sized plan old manila folders and then jazzed them up a notch with adorable scrap paper. She has a ton of themes and colors to choose from. She works with some of the cutest papers you just have to stop by and take a look to see what I mean! The Drama of the Search

So my oldest who you all know will be starting Kindergarten in 12 days to be exact! Not that I’m counting down or anything lol anyways…. I just bought her a pack back for the first time, which was fun. But let me tell you finding one that didn’t have Elmo or Dora (which according to her she’s just too old for) or heaven per bid Hanna Montana, not that Mom has anything against Hanna Montana, I just don’t want my five year old be a walking advertisement for her. Anyways after a very long search we finally came to agree on a pink and purple pokadot one we found. My only regret was that I didn’t check Etsy or Artfire first, to be honest it didn’t even don on me until after the fact. And of course I found some adorable ones BratSacksBaby’s shop. They have a ton to choose from which would be perfect for boys or girls. I only wish I would have thought to look, but such is life.

She has a ton to choose from but this one by far is my favorite, I only wish that I had one back when I was in school, which well let’s just say was a long-long-long time ago! Plus not only would it look adorable up in your daughter’s locker but it would work perfectly hanging on her bedroom door or dorm room for that matter. The board Measures 7.5" x 20" and comes with an attached mirror. It hangs up by magnets which are included. It really is a great price at $13.95

Sweet little notes

Just a little something, more girly for you all. This is a great idea I can’t believe that I’ve never thought about it before. So I was looking for back to school items last night and came across Riricreations, she has created these pre-made note cards perfect for stuffing into your little ones lunch bag. I remember as a kid getting little notes and always thinking that it was so cool. These little notes have cute little ballerina’s on them which at my house ballerinas and tutu’s are very “in” right now, that and fairies. Anyways I just thought that this was a great item to share with all of you, oh and if ballerina’s and tutu’s isn’t really your thing, she also has dinosaurs or pirates.

Soccer Balls Coloring Cubby for all you Boy Mom's out there

So because I only have little girls doesn’t mean that I have forgotten about all you boy mom’s out there! Take a look at this it’s a Soccer Balls Coloring Cubby, what a perfect way to keep the crayons all neat and put together. My two girls are always losing crayons. This Crayon Cubby measures approximately 12 by 6 inches when opened, but when rolled up it fits nicely in to any purse or dipper bag. Hopefully no more searching the bottom of the dipper bag for all those lose crayons right! It’s also a great little set to take to doctor visits to entertain little ones while you’re waiting. Which reminds me I better call and make an appointment for her Kindergarten shots, ouch the poor thing.

Just a little side note
*5% discount off your Crayon Cubby if you mention "thecutestshoponline"

This is such a cool collection a perfect gift for a loving teacher and for only $8.00 you can’t bet that. The "Back to school collection" is emailed to you in pdf files so you can print and decorate as much or as little as you wish. My mom is actually an elementary school teacher, as a kid I always thought it was so much fun stopping by moms class room. It was always perfectly decorated which, she would always change to match the seasons, (Not to mention she always had candy on her desk!) Aaahhh Good times.

Are You Ready?

For school that is! I’m so excited for my little five year old, who will be starting school at the end of the month. I’m not sure if I should admit this or not but, I just can’t wait! Let’s just say I’m not going to be one of those mom’s who cry when the bus drives away. Not that I won’t miss her, because I know I will. But for the fact that I will finally be able to get some things done! To those moms who are able to get all the errands done with more than two little ones, my hat goes off to you! The post office is always a great little adventure with two little ones if you know what I mean. Anyways that leads me to this month’s theme I will be looking for back to school supplies and helpful products, if you have something you would like to share please feel free to drop a link in the comment area, Links back to thecutestshopsonline would be helpful but not necessary, although it does add to good karma j/k

Toil and Trouble!

So I have lived in Utah all my life. I love it here but boy does it get cold! I can’t wait for summer! I came across Toil and Trouble’s shop, first of all I love her shop's name, it reminds me of my own two little girls who are always helping each other get into trouble! lol anyways, She makes some great scarflette’s which are perfect for young moms. Unlike normal scarfs which always seem to get in the way, scarflettes are much smaller and in my opion easier to wear. She also makes earwarmers which are perfect for those earily morning jog’s! Not only do they keep your ears warm but they also keep your hair pulled back and out of your way. Feel free to stop by her shop and take a peek she has many more products to choose from, the Akitone Fiery Scarflette just happens to be my favorite!

"How to Approach stores to sell your handmade items" by Enthral

Luckily all my wholesale orders have all been from people approaching me. I have yet to actually approach any store owners or buyers on my own. However I have experience a decline with in the last 6 months and have thought about entertaining the idea. Which brings me to today’s “Tuesdays How To” I am so excited to share this one with you! I found a great one at http://www.enthral-enthral.blogspot.com/ Enthral has 10 great steps for “How to Approach stores to sell your handmade items” I found them to be very helpful and plan on trying the steps out for myself.
For those of you who don’t know Enthral, she is a very talented jewelry artist who sells both on Etsy as well as Artfire, she does some amazing work. I really enjoy her style not to mention she has really great prices! What I love about her style is that she tries to focuses on pairing vintage pieces with new ones to make a one of a kind jewelry piece. Like this Rose and Heart Necklace the heart is new but the rose is Vintage, I think they are so pretty paired togeather. I love anything recycled especially when they end up looking this beautiful!

ceejaybags one of my favorite!

Ok so you can say that I am a little excited to be able to down grade my big old dipper bag for more "chic" mommy like designs. I have bought 3 bags within the last week! Unfortunately I found this bag after I already purchased the other three. I’m kinda on a spending freeze now, but that doesn’t mean I can’t blog about it! lol I found this bag in ceejaybags shop. I love the black and white polka dot’s lining with the Black and White toile it has a very chic feel. She also has some other very cute designs up in her shop, but this one just happens to be my favorite! She is currently working on her new spring line which is scheduled for this weekend. Hopeful my spending freeze will end soon, I can’t wait to see her new bags! She also would like to give a “Big Thank You” to the two teams that have lovingly supported her, “Carried Away Bag Makers” which can be found at www.carriedawayteam.blogspot.com and “Pluggers United” which can be found at www.blockheadradio.blogspot.com. So you would think that, being a member of two wonderful teams, a mother of two tween’s and not to mention running her own business that this women would be to busy for charity. But oh no she finds time! She currently supports the Community Housing Services of Lansdale PA. which is a great charity that supports women and children, she plans on donating a percentage of her sales to them in April! So make sure that you treat yourself to a new bag in April too, not only will you get a beautiful new bag but you will be helping other women and children! Sounds good to me!

Vintage Children Furniture

Anyone who knows me knows that I am addicted to estate sells and thrift stores why, its because of finds like this! (The rocking horse not the adorable girl which also happens to be mine too) I just love wooden Children Vintage Furniture, my two girls are spoiled that way. But very few people realize that you can find Vintage Children Furniture on Etsy, I found an adorable wooden doll house the other day. I’ve been keeping my eye out for one of these for months so I know they are very hard to find! This adorable wooden Doll house just happens to be one of three in My Vintage Doll House shop. She also has a light blue one to which is very cute. *I’m not sure if the vintage refers to the age or style I just know that they are hard to find so I thought I would share it with you.
